To all our valued customers,

We would like to update and keep our customers informed with the current situation and events that may impact your order.

THE GLOBAL & DOMESTIC SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES

There are a number of individual issues which are having a significant impact affecting shipments into Australia that are not limited to just Adriatic Furniture.

  1. Port workers for DP World, Australia’s biggest port operators have been on strike since mid-November and are scheduled to continue well into December. A significant number of all Adriatic containers are unable to be transported from the port due to this union strike. See the news update here
  2. Cybersecurity attacks on DP World occurred on the 11th of November and shut down the ports for multiple days. See the news update here. Scheduled and proposed arrival dates into our warehouse have been and continue to be affected by this unfortunate set of circumstances. We are working closely with our supply chain partners to minimise these disruptions and understand the ongoing impacts it will have on all our valued customers.
  3. Unexpectedly, there was a drop in the number of container ships travelling to Australia causing a reduction in this peak shipping period of the year (October-December). This reduction has created a holdup and shipping jam, leading to unavoidable delays for many retailers, including Adriatic Furniture.
