Quartz stone is a product which is about 90% quartz based. This product has outstanding properties to ensure ease of maintenance and longevity of your surfaces. It can withstand exposure to tea, soda, wine, vinegar, lemon juice and strongly coloured substances, however we recommend any spillage is cleaned and wiped up immediately to minimise any potential deterioration or discolouration.
Everyday cleaning
Quartz stone requires minimal maintenance to keep the surface looking like new. For everyday, routine cleaning we recommend wiping the surface with warm soapy water (a mild non-abrasive detergent) and a soft cloth.
By following the proper care and maintenance of your reconstituted stone, you should have many years of enjoyment from the product.
Reconstituted Stone is an extremely strong material but you should avoid:
- Sitting, standing or climbing on surface.
- Cutting food directly on the surface.
- Knocking, dropping or bumping the product with heavy items.
- Exposure to strong chemicals and solvents.
- Avoid using product outdoors.
- Direct exposure to sunlight
Heat Resistance
Quartz stone can tolerate very brief exposures to moderately hot temperatures, however prolonged direct contact with, or radiated heat from very hot sources can cause thermal shock, discolouration or damage. Therefore we do not recommend placing hot pots, pans, electric frying pans and oven trays directly from the hotplate or out of the oven onto the surface of quartz stone. We always recommend the use of coasters or trivet to place hot items on.
Warranty
2 year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, and in accordance with general and standard everyday use.
Whilst in use, we highly recommend preventative measures (such as coasters, placemats and/or tablecloths) to better protect the surface of the timber from scratches and markings.
Chrome and Metal Finishes
Dust the surface regularly to avoid build-up of impurities, which may cause the surface to rust. We recommend only using a recognised brand of chrome polish, if necessary. Avoid contact with sharp or serrated objects as this will cause scratching.
